Las mismas preguntas, la corbata distinta

El presidente Lagos recibió a la televisión abierta por separado. Cada 19 de septiembre ofrece diez minutos a cada canal para una entrevista exclusiva y los medios designan a sus mejores figuras.

¡Qué lata tiene que ser para el mandatario responder las mismas preguntas cinco veces!

Y, el pobre, cada vez tiene que mirar con cara de interés a su interlocutor, que lo interroga con pose de
sabihondo (a), convencido que tiene al presidente contra la espada y la pared.

Pero, el sentido de este pensamiento apunta en otra dirección. Los asesores comunicacionales de La Moneda se creen imprescindibles en oportunidades como éstas, porque su trabajo se puede ver altiro por la tele. Su labor consistió en lo siguiente:

Primero, dar la impresión de una entrevista exclusiva. Y segundo, para conseguir ese efecto, hacer que el presidente se cambiara la corbata. Eso fue lo único distinto en los resúmenes de esos encuentros que el país pudo ver casi al mismo tiempo en los canales.

¿Por qué Lagos no recibe a todos los canales al mismo tiempo, concediendo las preguntas por turno? Asesores, escuchen y tenga compasión, si siguieran mi consejo le evitarían el latazo a S.E.

Same questions, different tie

Ricardo Lagos received tv crews separately in La Moneda. Each Sept. the 19th he concedes 10 minutes per channel for an exclusive interview and tv designate its best figures for that.

What a boring thing must be for the President answering the same questions five times!
And he, each time, has to look at his know-it-all interviewers with a smiling face. The journalists ask convinced that they have Lagos back against the wall.

But the bottom of this thought is different. Those people in charge of the communications in La Moneda believe they are essential in occasions like these, because it is possibly to see the results immediately on tv. Their job consisted in:

First, give the impression of an exclusive interview. And secondly, to achieve the effect, making the President changed his tie. That was the only difference in the result.

I wonder why Lagos doesn’t receive those five channels simultaneously, conceding the questions to the journalist under certain order? Advisers have a little bit of compassion to the President and avoid him being bored.
